Before the construction of railways, highways, factories, reservoirs, urban water sources, communication lines, oil (gas) pipelines, transmission lines, large buildings, or building complexes and other construction projects, and the preparation of urban planning, the situation of mineral resources covered by the construction projects shall be evaluated.

Through the collection of relevant geological data and the field geological survey, the type, distribution range, economic significance and potential value of the mineral resources within the scope of assessment, as well as whether the mineral resources are covered, will be evaluated to provide the geological basis for the site selection of the construction project, the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of the mining right holders and the approval of the competent authorities.
