Recently, members of the surveying and mapping team of Zhongzi International Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. successfully completed the reconstruction and mapping of 57.8 square kilometers of high and low voltage power supply lines in the southern suburbs of Xilingol League, Hohhot.

On November 8, 2021, in order to implement the decision and deployment of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on strengthening the work of safe production, coordinate development and security, thoroughly implement the new energy security strategy of "four revolutions and one cooperation", firmly establish the governance concept of "four security", constantly improve the level of safe production of electricity in the country, and ensure the safe and stable operation of the power system and reliable supply of electricity, The National Energy Administration has issued the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" for Safe Production of Electric Power to further promote the transformation and upgrading of high-voltage power grids. The upgrading and transformation efforts are mainly increased in line layout, facility transformation, transmission line replacement and other aspects, and the maintenance of high-voltage power grid is also strengthened. It was in response to the call of the government and in the interests of the country and the people that the Zhongzi International Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. received the project entrustment from the Mengdong Mining Co., Ltd. of Xilingol League, and organized the task force to complete the challenging project.

Xilingol League belongs to the northern temperate continental climate, and its main climatic characteristics are strong wind, drought and cold. The annual average temperature is 0~3 ℃, the freezing period lasts for 5 months, the cold period lasts for 7 months, and the temperature in January is the lowest, with an average of - 20 ℃. It is one of the coldest regions in North China. Therefore, for traditional surveying and mapping methods, it is a challenging work for personnel to conduct surveying and mapping here. Especially in some areas with low temperature and high risk and steep hillsides. The GPS-RTK measurement technology adopted by the surveying and mapping personnel is a real-time dynamic positioning system based on the carrier phase observation value. Its speed and efficiency are unmatched by other surveying and mapping instruments and methods. Conventional GPS measurement methods, such as static, fast static and dynamic measurement, need to be settled afterwards to obtain centimeter-level accuracy. RTK is a measurement method that can obtain centimeter-level positioning accuracy in real time in the field, which is a major milestone in GPS application.

At the same time, the digital survey adopts the whole field data acquisition method, and the data acquisition adopts UAV for observation and collection. With the continuous improvement of surveying and mapping technology, the application of UAV technology has realized the effective integration of positioning technology and communication technology, and can complete the accurate and comprehensive measurement of all kinds of spatial information. Therefore, UAV has significant advantages in the application of surveying and mapping engineering. Hohhot is an area with complex terrain and landforms. In the high-altitude area with complex road environment, UAV mapping is not only not limited by the site, but also has good wind resistance and high efficiency.
